Best Hackers and Best Movies

හැකින් පිලිබද ඉතිහාසයත් හැකින් තරම්ම රසවත්. ලෝකයේ හැකර්ස්ලා ආකාර 2ක් ඉන්නවා කියලා ඔයාලා දන්නවා. White Hat Hacker සහ Black Hat hacker කියන කොටස් දෙකයි ඒ. දැනට ලෝකයේ හදුනාගෙන ඇති හොදම (හොදම කියන එක හරිද මන්දා. භයානකම කිවුවොත් වඩා නිවැරදියි.) හැකර්ස්ලා කවුද?

මොහු අන්තර්ජාලය තුල හදුන්වන්නේ “c0mrade” ලෙසින්. මොහු තමයි ඇමරිකානු ආරක්ශණ පද්දතිය වෙත සහ NASA පරිගණක ජාලය වෙත රිංගපු පලමු  කෙනා. එසේම 100% සර්තක උන එකම කෙනා. ඒ වගේම බොට්නෙට් ජාලයක් නිර්මාණය කරගෙන් ලෝකයේ පරිගණක වලින් අඩකටත් වඩා පාලනය කල කෙනක්. ඒ වගේම NASA පරිගණක ජාලයෙන් තොරතුරු සොරාගෙන International Space Station එහෙම නැත්නම් ජාත්‍යන්තර අභ්‍යවකාශ නැවතුමේ පාලන කටයුතු වලට බලපෑම කලා. මොහු විසින් සොරාගත් දත්ත වල වටිනාකම ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 1.7 ලෙසින් ගනනය කරලා තියනවා. අවාසනාවකට 2008 වසරේදී මොහු සියදිවි නසාගත්තා.

Kevin Mitnick කියන්නේ “most wanted ” ලෙසින් නම් කල අයෙක්. ඇමරිකානු ආරක්ශණ පද්දතිය ආක්‍රමණය කරන්න කීපවතාවක්ම උත්සාහා කලා. නමුත් 100% සාර්තක උනේ නෑ. ඔහු විසින් ලෝකයේ ප්‍රමුඛ ඉලෙක්ට්‍රොනික නිශ්පාදන සමාගම් සියල්ලකම වගේ පරිගණක ජාල ආක්‍රමණය කලා.නමුත් අවසානයේ සෝනි සමාගමේ පද්දතියට ඇතුලු වී සිටි අවස්තාවකදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන වසර 5 සිරගෙට නියම උනා.  වසර 5 අවසානයේ එලියට පැමිනි මොහු පරිගණක ආරක්ශාව පිලිබද දේශකයෙක් බවට පත් උනා. හොදම දේ ඔහු විසින්ම හැක් කරපු ඉලෙක්ට්‍රොනික සමාගම් වල ප්‍රදාන ජාල ආරක්ශණ උපදේශක ලෙසින් ඔවුන් මොහුව බදවා ගත්තා. 

Albert Gonzalez

ලෝකයේ මෙතෙක් සිදු උන ලොකුම ක්‍රෙඩිට් කාඩ් ගිනුම් අංක හැක් කිරීම සිදු කලේ මොහු විසින්. මිලියන 170 වඩා වැඩි ගිණුම් ප්‍රමාණයක් මොහු විසින් Man in the middle attack බාවිතයෙන් සොරාගෙන තිබුනා.මොහු විසින් තනාගත් බොට්නෙට් ජාලය උනේ ShadowCrew. එය 2007 වසරේදී වසා දමන විට ලෝකයේ පරිගණක වලින් මිලියන 1.5 පමණ එයට ඇදී තිබුනා. අවසානයේ TJX ආයතනයේ පරිගණක ජාලය තුල සිටින විටදී අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන 2010 දී වසර 20 කට සිරගත කලා. 

Kevin Poulsen

මොහුව අන්තර්ජාලයේදී හදුන්වන්නේ “Dark Dante” ලෙසින්.  මොහු හැක් කලේ පාරිගණක හරහා ක්‍රියාත්මකවන ටෙලිපෝන් පද්දති. එසේ ග්‍රහණයට ගන්නා පද්දති වල පරිශීලකයින්ට ඇමතීමත් මොහු පුරුද්දක් කරගෙන උන්නා. මොහු විසින් FBI ටෙලිපෝන් පද්දතිය ආක්‍රමණය කල. විනාඩි 51 ක කාලයක් ඔහු විසින් ග්‍රහණය කරගත් මේ පද්දතිය නිදහස් කරද්දී සියලුම පරිශීලක නාම වෙනස් කර් තිබුනා. අවසානයේ සිරගත උන මොහු දැනට Wired News ජාලයේ  ජේෂ්ඨ සංස්කාරකයෙක්. 

Gary McKinnon

“Solo” ලෙසින් අන්තර්ජාලයේදී මොහුව හදුන්වනවා. ඔහු විසින් NASA ආයතනයේ ඉතාමත් ආරක්ශිත පරිගණක 97 ක දත්ත මාස 13 තුලදී සොරාගෙන තිබුනා. එසේම Area 51 ජාලය අක්‍රමණය කරමින් පිටසක්වල ජීවීන් ගැන ලියවෙන බ්ලොග් අඩවියකට එහි ජායාරූප මුල් වතාවට ලබා දුන්නා. ඇමරිකානු බලදාරීන්ට අනුව ඔහු විසින් Area 51  වල පරිගණක තුල තිබූ වාර්තාවන් 300 පමන මකා දමා තිබෙනවා. නමුත් මෙය ඔහු විසින් නොපිලිගන්නා ලදී. 

මේ සියල්ලන්ම පිරිමි අය. ඔයාලා දන්නවාද ගැහැණු හැකර්ලාත් ඉන්නවා කියලා? ලෝකයේ දැනට හදුනාගෙන සිටින සරාගීම හැකර් තමයි Kristina Svechinskaya කියන්නේ. 

ඇය රුසියානු ජාතික කාන්තවක්. 1989 පෙබරවාරි 16 උපන් ඇය (මුලාශ්‍රය http://www.csarchive.net) මූල්‍ය ආයතන මුල් කරගෙන සිය හැකින් ප්‍රහාරයන් දියත් කලා. ඇය අන්තර්ජාලයේ හදුන්වන්නේ Anna Chapman ලෙසයි. ඇමරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 3  ඇමරිකානු ගිනුම් වලින් හා ඩොලර් මිලියන 9.5 පමණ  සුවිස් බැංකු ගිනුම් වලින් මේ වෙනකොට සොරාගෙන තියනවා. ඇයගේ බොට්නෙට් ජාලය හදුන්වන්නේ Zeus Trojan ලෙසයි. 

ඉතින් මේ ඉන්නෙ ලොකේ මොලෙන් වැඩ ගන්න ලොකුම හොරු. එහෙම් කියන එක වැරදි. මෙයාලා බුද්ධි ගබඩා. ඔයාල නිකන් හිතන්න මෙයාලා අධි ආරක්ශිත පරිගණක ජාල වලට රිංගද්දි අපි කොච්චර මහන්සි වෙන්න ඕනේද කියලා කාගෙ හරි පේස්බුක් මුරපදයක් හරි පරිගණකයට ලොග් වෙන මුරපදයක් හරි හොයාගන්න? ඉතින් මෙයාලගේ දැනුම හොද දේකට යොමු කල නම් වඩාත් ඵලදායී වෙන්න තිබුනා 

හැකින් බාවිත කරලා එහෙම නැත්නම් මොලෙන් වැඩ ගන්න ආකාරයේ දැනට තියන හොදම චිත්‍රපට කීපයක් ගැනත් ඔයාලට කියන්න හිතුනා. කැමති නම් බාගත් කරගන්න ටොරන්ට් ගොනු වල ලින්කුවත් තියනවා. 

1. Tron (1982)

Tron , a poetical “cyberadventure” where the cyber world is a methaphorical representation of the “real” one.A classic! A hacker is transported into the digital universe inside a computer, and must survive combat as a cyber gladiator in order to stop the villanous Master Control. The imagination behind this movie made big ripples in the science fiction world, and today, Tron is a cult classic that every computer user should see at least once.

2. Wargames (1983)


This movie is very old, but it is still a pivotal film in many viewers’ minds. A young man finds a back door into a military central computer in which reality is confused with game-playing, possibly starting World War III. A preposterous plot, but a compelling commentary on nuclear war and the destruction of the human race. You have to see this movie just to say you have seen it.

3. Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard (2007)


Leave it to Bruce Willis to save the world from uber hackers. Macintosh advertising personality, Justin Long, plays the reluctant programmer caught up in an digital terrorism scheme. Like Swordfish, this movie has over-the-top violence and outrageous action sequences, but if you liked the Die Hard series, definitely see this .

4. The Italian Job (2003)


Modern heist movies always involve some sort of hacking. This particular heist movie is extremely entertaining, especially when the supposed true inventor of “Napster” is the main hacker. At least 20 minutes of hacking footage in this actioner. An explosive guy, a safe-cracker, a computer genius, a wheel-man and a man with a spectacular plan of stealing 35 million without using a gun.

5. Swordfish (2001)


Over-the-top violence, preposterous situations, sexy women, and outstanding special effects make this a great popcorn rental. No, don’t bring your brain to watch this, but if you like techno-thrillers, definitely rent this. A secretive renegade counter-terrorist co-opts the world’s greatest hacker (who is trying to stay clean) to steal billions in US Government dirty money.

6. Untraceable (2008)


Recently my friend Desigan gave this movie to me.Its an entertaining thriller about a crazed young computer geek who becomes the deranged moderator of his own “Kill With Me” live internet feed where he displays new victims being slowly tortured to death. The more hits he gets at his site, the faster the people featured on his webcam die.
FBI agent Jennifer Marsh is tasked with hunting down a seemingly untraceable serial killer who posts livevideos of his victims on the Internet. As time runs out, the cat and mouse chase becomes more personal.

7. Sneakers (1992)


Complex but lighthearted thriller about computers and cryptography, government and espionage, secrets and deception and betrayal. The story revolves around two college buddies who take different paths in life. One becomes an ethical hacker, and the other…well, he is not quite so noble. Some great plot twists and comic scenes make this a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon at home.

8. The Score (2001)


Edward Norton and Robert De Niro are fabulous in this heist flick. In a clever plot to rob a Montreal customs house of some royal artifacts, Norton and De Niro must break into the security systems with the help of a socially-awkward hacker who lives in his mother’s basement. Ten minutes of hacking, and 100 minutes of phenomenal robbery storytelling!

9. Foolproof (2003)


A lower-budget movie about hobby bank robbers, this was a delightful surprise to many viewers. Ryan Reynolds and his friends “virtually” rob banks for fun, but are blackmailed into doing a heist for real. This is a good action rental.

10. Revolution OS (2001)


This documentary tells the story about the Linux operating system, and how it forwarded the philosophy of “open source” and free intellectual property. Not an action movie, but definitely interesting for people who want to learn more about why computer culture is the way it is. There’s a scene where Bill Gate’s is responding to the issue of free software.I think the OpenSource movement is revolutionary, but I’m not sure this film brings this across.
